The turbine housing is the hot-side core component of an automotive turbocharger. It accommodates the turbine wheel and guides high-temperature engine exhaust gas through its spiral volute to drive the turbine wheel rotation.
Made of heat-resistant alloys such as high-nickel cast iron, it withstands extreme exhaust heat and pressure. Its internal flow geometry directly affects turbo efficiency, response speed and exhaust backpressure. Single-scroll and twin-scroll are mainstream designs for passenger and commercial vehicles.
